The Divinities in the Body and the Practice of Yoga
Sanatkumara tells Rudra which gods dwell in each part of the body, and which god's realm each organ wins for the departing soul; whoever sees the divinities thus and sacrifices to the Self is a yogi, better than performers of every sacrifice. He distinguishes the awakening and the unawakened Person, then teaches the practice of yoga: the place and posture, moderate food, withdrawal of the senses and steadying of the mind, until the Brahman shines within like lightning in a cloud, the thumb-sized Narayana. He lists the eight powers of yoga, praises yoga as the highest dharma, and ends by promising to teach Sankhya.
