Uma Covers Shiva's Eyes
Narada describes the Himalayan forest where he saw Shiva seated amid his hosts and the sages, and Uma, in play, covering his eyes with her hands. Darkness falls on the world, and Shiva opens a third eye on his forehead whose fire burns the mountain. At Uma's grief he restores the Himalaya with a glance. Uma then asks why he has the third eye, and Shiva explains that he made it to save the world from darkness.
