The Brahmins Destroy the Kapas

Vayu tells how, when Chyavana had taken heaven and earth from the gods, the gods went to Brahma, who sent them to the brahmins. The Kapas' messenger Dhanin praised the Kapas' virtues and urged the brahmins to turn back, but the brahmins loosed blazing fires and destroyed the Kapas; when Narada told the gods, they praised the brahmins and won lasting immortality. Arjuna replies that he lives for the brahmins and has heard Vayu's account attentively, and Vayu answers by telling him to protect the brahmins with a Kshatriya's dharma and to restrain his senses, since danger will come to him from them in time.
