Jayadratha Woos Draupadi
Kotikashya reports his talk with Draupadi to Jayadratha, who, smitten by her, learns that she is the queen of the Pandavas and goes to the hermitage with six companions. Draupadi receives him as a guest and offers him a morning meal, but he urges her to leave her exiled, ruined husbands and become his wife. She rebukes him, stalling until her husbands return, and reminds him that as the husband of Duhshala he owes her a brother's protection; he replies that kings take such women as they please.
