Vyasa Reveals the Divine Origins of the Fallen

Vyasa promises Gandhari, Kunti, Draupadi and the others that they will see their dead that very night, and explains that the great warriors were gods, gandharvas and other beings who took birth to do the work of the gods. He names them: Dhritarashtra a gandharva king, Pandu of the Maruts, Duryodhana Kali, Shakuni Dvapara, Karna the Sun, Abhimanyu the Moon, Bhishma a Vasu, and others. He bids everyone go to the Ganga, and the people set out and make camp on its bank, waiting for night.
