Ashvamedhika Parva · Adhyaya 102

The Merit of Giving Land, Maidens, Gold, Sesame and Cows

Krishna tells Yudhishthira the fruit of gifts to worthy Brahmins. The gift of land to a poor, learned Brahmin is the greatest, its merit never fails, and taking back a given field brings terrible hells; the measure called a gokarna is explained. He then declares the rewards for giving a daughter, gold, silver, a mountain of sesame, a sesame-cow and a milch cow, and closes by describing the Brahmins who are worthy recipients and able to carry others across.
