What Counts as Killing a Brahmin, Forbidden Food, and the Fruits of Gifts
Yudhishthira asks how a man can incur the guilt of killing a Brahmin without violence, and Krishna lists the acts that are held equal to it. Asked about the most excellent gift, Krishna praises food, names the people whose food a Brahmin must refuse, and sets out the rewards of giving water, food, sesame, lamps, land, gold, houses, clothing, cattle and sacred knowledge. He closes by teaching that dharma alone follows a person after death.
