Krishna Shows Udanka His Universal Form and Grants Him a Boon
Udanka asks to see Krishna's divine form; Krishna shows it, and Udanka praises him. Offered a boon, Udanka asks for water wherever he may need it in the desert, and Krishna promises to remember him when asked. Later, tormented by thirst, Udanka meets an outcaste hunter who offers him water and angrily refuses it. Krishna then explains that it was Indra, who would give nectar only in that form, and grants that clouds called Udanka-clouds will rain in the desert for him.
