Krishna Enters the Birth Chamber and Uttara Laments
Krishna answers the women's plea with a word of comfort and enters Parikshit's birth chamber, which is guarded with all the customary protections. Draupadi announces him to Uttara, who comes before him and, weeping, begs him to revive her son burned by the weapon of Drona's son, saying she will give up her life if the child does not live and recalling her vow to follow Abhimanyu.
