Samvarta Sends Marutta to Shiva's Gold on Mount Munjavat
Samvarta describes Mount Munjavan in the Himalaya, where Shiva dwells with Uma amid the gods and his hosts, and where veins of gold lie guarded by Kubera's attendants. He tells Marutta to go there, praise Shiva by a long list of his names, and take the gold with his men. Marutta does so, gains the wealth by Shiva's grace, and has golden vessels and halls made for the sacrifice. Brihaspati, hearing of this, wastes away with envy, and Indra comes to him.
