Rajadharma Restored to Life
The Rakshasa king has Rajadharma's body burned with perfumes; by Indra's word nectar-like milk from Surabhi falls on the pyre and the crane-king lives again. He asks that his friend Gautama be set free, and Indra, who tells Virupaksha how Brahma once cursed Rajadharma, lets Gautama go. Gautama returns to the Shabara village and falls into hell. Bhishma ends with the praise of gratitude and friendship and the condemnation of the ingrate, and Vaishampayana notes that Yudhishthira was pleased.
