Upashruti Leads Shachi to Indra
The goddess Upashruti appears to Shachi in bodily form, moved by her truth and faithfulness, and leads her beyond the Himalaya and across the sea to a great island with a vast lake. There they enter the stalk of a great lotus and find Indra hidden in a fibre of it in a subtle form. Shachi praises him, tells him how Nahusha has threatened her, and begs him to reveal himself, slay Nahusha and rule heaven again.
