devāṁśaḥ sa tu vijñeyo yo bhavedvibhavādhikaḥ | nānṛṣiḥ kurute kāvyaṁ nārudro rudramarcate

'That one is to be recognized as a portion of a god who possesses splendor beyond the ordinary. No one but a true sage composes real poetry, and no one but Rudra himself truly worships Rudra.'

Verse 24 (devibhagavatam.6.10.24)

santuṣṭaistu surairdattaṁ varadānaṁ punaḥ śubham | naradehakṛtaṁ puṇyaṁ kva gataṁ vanavāsajam

'The gods, thus pleased, granted him once more an auspicious boon. Yet where did that merit go — the merit born of his austerity in a human body during that forest exile?'

Verse 33 (devibhagavatam.6.10.33)
