Verse 58 (padma.5.81.58)

na śakyate mayā vaktuṁ varṣakoṭiśatairapi trailokye pṛthivī mānyā jaṁbūdvīpaṁ tatovaram

"This I could not tell fully even in a hundred crores of years. In the three worlds, the earth is honored; Jambudvipa is more excellent than that;"

Verse 59 (padma.5.81.59)

tatrāpi bhārataṁ varṣaṁ tatrāpi mathurāpurī tatra vṛṁdāvanaṁ nāma tatra gopīkadaṁbakam

"within that, Bharata-varsha; within that, the city of Mathura; within that, the place named Vrindavana; within that, the multitude of gopis;"

Verse 60 (padma.5.81.60)

tatra rādhāsakhīvargastatrāpi rādhikā varā sāṁnidhyādhikyatastasyā ādhikyaṁ syādyathottaram

"within that, Radha's group of companions; and within that, supreme Radhika herself. According to the degree of nearness to her, so is the corresponding degree of excellence."

Verse 61 (padma.5.81.61)

pṛthivī prabhṛtīnāṁ tu nānyatkiṁcidihoditam saiṣā hi rādhikā gopī janastasyāḥ sakhīgaṇaḥ

"Of the earth and the rest, nothing else is here declared as superior. She indeed is Radhika, the gopi; her people are her multitude of companions."

Verse 62 (padma.5.81.62)

tasyāḥ sakhīsamūhasya vallabhau prāṇanāyakau rādhākṛṣṇau tayoḥ pādāḥ śaraṇaṁ syādihāśraye

"The beloveds, the lords of life, of that multitude of her companions, are Radha and Krishna; their two feet are the refuge — this is the resort here."

Verse 63 (padma.5.81.63)

prapadye gatavānasmi jīvo'haṁ bhṛśaduḥkhitaḥ so'haṁ yaḥ śaraṇaṁ prāpto mama tasya yadasti ca

"'I take refuge; I have gone to you; I, the soul, am exceedingly afflicted; that same I, who has attained refuge, whatever is mine —'"

Verse 64 (padma.5.81.64)

sarvaṁ tābhyāṁ tadarthaṁ hi tadbhogyaṁ na hyahaṁ mama ityasau kathito vipra maṁtrasyārthaḥ samāsataḥ

"'all of it belongs to those two, for their sake; it is their enjoyment, not mine.' Thus, O brahmin, the meaning of the mantra has been told in brief."

Verse 65 (padma.5.81.65)

yugalārthastathā nyāsaḥ prapattiḥ śaraṇāgatiḥ ātmārpaṇamime paṁca paryāyāste mayoditāḥ

"The meaning of the pair, and likewise the ritual placement, self-surrender, taking refuge, self-offering — these five are the synonyms that I have declared."

Verse 66 (padma.5.81.66)

ayameva ciṁtanīyo divānaktamataṁdritaiḥ

This very mantra-meditation should be contemplated day and night, tirelessly.
