Verse 40 (skanda.5.42.40)

Verse 41 (skanda.5.42.41)

Whoever hears, or causes others to hear, this excellent, divine, meritorious and sin-removing tale is freed from all sins.

Verse 45 (skanda.5.42.45)

aputro labhate putramadhano dhanamāpnuyāt| vājapeyasahasrāṇāṁ rājasūyaśatādhikam||

The sonless obtains a son, the poor man obtains wealth; he gains merit exceeding a thousand Vajapeya sacrifices and a hundred Rajasuya sacrifices.

Verse 46 (skanda.5.42.46)

puṇyaṁ labdhvā naro nityaṁ śivaloke mahīyate||
