The Glory of Gajakumbhodara

Verse 1 (skanda.7.145.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। तत्रैव संस्थितं पश्येद्विघ्नेशं पापनाशनम्। गजकुंभोदरं नाम सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायकम्

īśvara uvāca| tatraiva saṁsthitaṁ paśyedvighneśaṁ pāpanāśanam| gajakuṁbhodaraṁ nāma sarvasiddhipradāyakam

Ishvara said: There itself one should behold Vighnesha, the destroyer of sin, situated there, known by the name Gajakumbhodara, the bestower of every accomplishment.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.145.2)

तत्र कुंडे नरः स्नात्वा चतुर्थ्यां प्रयतात्मवान्। पूजयेद्यस्तु तं भक्त्या विघ्नेशस्तस्य तुष्यति

tatra kuṁḍe naraḥ snātvā caturthyāṁ prayatātmavān| pūjayedyastu taṁ bhaktyā vighneśastasya tuṣyati

Whatever man, having bathed in the pond there, worships him with devotion on the fourth lunar day, with a purified soul, with him Vighnesha becomes pleased.
