The Glory of the Mother-Goddesses and Baladevi

Verse 1 (skanda.7.170.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि तत्र मातृगणान्सुधीः। तत्रैव बलदेवीं च नातिदूरे व्यवस्थिताम्

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi tatra mātṛgaṇānsudhīḥ| tatraiva baladevīṁ ca nātidūre vyavasthitām

Ishvara said: Then, O great Goddess, the wise man should go there to the Mother-goddesses, and, not far from there, to Baladevi who dwells nearby.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.170.2)

श्रावण्यां श्रावणे मासि यस्तां पूजयते नरः। पायसैर्मधुना वापि दिव्यपुष्पोपहारकैः

śrāvaṇyāṁ śrāvaṇe māse yastāṁ pūjayate naraḥ| pāyasairmadhunā vāpi divyapuṣpopahārakaiḥ

Whatever man worships her on the Shravana-nakshatra day of the month of Shravana, with rice-pudding, or honey, or offerings of heavenly flowers —

Verse 3 (skanda.7.170.3)

तस्य वर्षं महादेवि सुखं गच्छेत्सुपूजितम्

tasya varṣaṁ mahādevi sukhaṁ gacchetsupūjitam

— O great Goddess, for him, well-worshipped, the year passes in happiness.
