The Glory of Nandini Cave

Verse 1 (skanda.7.264.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। तत्रैव संस्थिता देवि गुफा पातकनाशिनी। ऋषीणां संस्थितिर्यत्र सिद्धानां पुण्यचेतसाम्॥

īśvara uvāca| tatraiva saṁsthitā devi guphā pātakanāśinī| ṛṣīṇāṁ saṁsthitiryatra siddhānāṁ puṇyacetasām||

Ishvara said: O Goddess, there itself is a cave that destroys sins, the dwelling place of sages and Siddhas of pure heart.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.264.2)

तत्र गत्वा महादेवि गुफां यः पश्यते नरः। स मुक्तः सर्वपापेभ्यश्चांद्रायणफलं लभेत्॥

tatra gatvā mahādevi guphāṁ yaḥ paśyate naraḥ| sa muktaḥ sarvapāpebhyaścāṁdrāyaṇaphalaṁ labhet||

O Mahadevi, whoever goes there and beholds that cave is freed from all sins and obtains the fruit of the Chandrayana vow.
