The Glory of Kumbhishvara

Verse 1 (skanda.7.266.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि कुम्भीश्वरमनुत्तमम्। शरभस्थानतः पूर्वे नातिदूरे व्यवस्थितम्। तं दृष्ट्वा मानवो देवि मुच्यते सर्वपातकैः॥

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchet mahādevi kumbhīśvaramanuttamam| śarabhasthānataḥ pūrve nātidūre vyavasthitam| taṁ dṛṣṭvā mānavo devi mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ||

Ishvara said: Thereafter, O Mahadevi, one should go to the most excellent Kumbhishvara, situated not far to the east of Sharabhasthana. O Goddess, by beholding him, a man is freed from all sins.
