The Glory of Chaturmukha Vinayaka

Verse 1 (skanda.7.309.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि विनायकमनुत्तमम्। चतुर्मुखेति विख्यातं चण्डीशादुत्तरे स्थितम्

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi vināyakamanuttamam| caturmukheti vikhyātaṁ caṇḍīśāduttare sthitam

Ishvara said: Then, O great Goddess, one should go to the most excellent Vinayaka, known as Chaturmukha, situated to the north of Chandisha.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.309.2)

किञ्चिदीशानदिग्भागे धनुषां च चतुष्टये। तं प्रयत्नाच्च संपूज्य सर्वविघ्नैः प्रमुच्यते

kiñcidīśānadigbhāge dhanuṣāṁ ca catuṣṭaye| taṁ prayatnācca saṁpūjya sarvavighnaiḥ pramucyate

A little toward the northeast, at a distance of four dhanus. Worshipping him with effort, one is freed from all obstacles.

Verse 3 (skanda.7.309.3)

गन्धपुष्पादिभिस्तत्र भक्ष्यैर्भोज्यैः समोदकैः। चतुर्मुखं चतुर्थ्यां तु संपूज्य सिद्धिभाग्भवेत्

gandhapuṣpādibhistatra bhakṣyairbhojyaiḥ samodakaiḥ| caturmukhaṁ caturthyāṁ tu saṁpūjya siddhibhāgbhavet

There, worshipping Chaturmukha with scent, flowers and the like, with foods, dishes, and modaka sweets, on the fourth lunar day, one becomes possessed of accomplishment.
