The Glory of Unnata Vinayaka

Verse 1 (skanda.7.329.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। अथोत्तरे देवकुलात्तत्र गव्यूतिमात्रतः। उत्तमस्थानमिति च प्रख्यातं धरणीतले

īśvara uvāca| athottare devakulāttatra gavyūtimātrataḥ| uttamasthānamiti ca prakhyātaṁ dharaṇītale

Ishvara said: Now, to the north of the Devakula, at a distance of one gavyuti, is the place renowned on earth as Uttama-sthana, the excellent place.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.329.2)

तस्योत्तरे तु दिग्भागे धनुर्द्वादशकांतरे। उन्नतो विघ्नराजस्तु सर्वप्रत्यूहनाशनः

tasyottare tu digbhāge dhanurdvādaśakāṁtare| unnato vighnarājastu sarvapratyūhanāśanaḥ

In the northern direction from that, at a distance of twelve bow-lengths, stands the exalted Vighnaraja, destroyer of all impediments.

Verse 3 (skanda.7.329.3)

चतुर्थ्यां पूजितः सम्यक्सुगंधैः फलमोदकैः। ददाति वांछितान्कामांस्त्रैलोक्ये विजयी भवेत्

caturthyāṁ pūjitaḥ samyaksugaṁdhaiḥ phalamodakaiḥ| dadāti vāṁchitānkāmāṁstrailokye vijayī bhavet

Duly worshipped on the fourth lunar day with fragrances, fruits and modakas, he grants the desired wishes, and the worshipper becomes victorious in the three worlds.
