The Glory of Siddheshvara

Verse 1 (skanda.7.427.1)

॥ पुलस्त्य उवाच ॥ ततो गच्छेन्नृपश्रेष्ठ सिद्धलिंगं सुसिद्धिदम् । सिद्धैस्तु स्थापितं लिंगं सर्वपातकनाशनम्

pulastya uvāca | tato gacchennṛpaśreṣṭha siddhaliṅgaṁ susiddhidam | siddhaistu sthāpitaṁ liṅgaṁ sarvapātakanāśanam

Pulastya said: Then, O best of kings, one should go to the Siddha-linga, granting excellent accomplishment, established by the Siddhas, destroying all sins.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.427.2)

तत्रास्ति शोभनं कुण्डं सुनिर्मलजलान्वितम् । तत्र स्नातो नरः सम्यङ्मुच्यते ब्रह्महत्यया

tatrāsti śobhanaṁ kuṇḍaṁ sunirmalajalānvitam | tatra snāto naraḥ samyaṅmucyate brahmahatyayā

There is a beautiful pool there, filled with most clear water. A man who duly bathes there is freed from the sin of killing a brahmin.

Verse 3 (skanda.7.427.3)

यंयं काममभिध्यायंस्तत्र स्नाति नरो नृप । अवश्यं तमवाप्नोति निष्ठांते च परां गतिम्

yaṁyaṁ kāmamabhidhyāyaṁstatra snāti naro nṛpa | avaśyaṁ tamavāpnoti niṣṭhānte ca parāṁ gatim

O king, whatever desire a man contemplates while bathing there, he certainly obtains it, and at the end of his life, the supreme state.
