akṣayāyāvyayāyaiva ajarāyāmarāya ca | paśūnāṁ pataye caiva jetre mṛtyostathaiva ca

'To the imperishable, the unchanging, the ageless, and the immortal; to the lord of creatures, and to the conqueror of death.'

Verse 61 (skanda.8.24.61)

namaḥ pavanavegāya sarvajñāyājitāya ca | anekaśirase caiva anekacaraṇāya ca

'Salutation to him swift as the wind, all-knowing and unconquered; to him of many heads, and of many feet.'

Verse 62 (skanda.8.24.62)

kirīṭine kuṇḍaline mahāparighabāhave | sarvān devagaṇā~ścaiva pāhi deva namostu te

'To the crowned one, the earringed one, with arms like great iron clubs — protect all the hosts of gods, O god; salutation be to you.'

Verse 63 (skanda.8.24.63)

sanatkumāra uvāca| evaṁ stutvā tato devastasmai vyāsa mahātmane | prāñjaliḥ prayato bhūtvā jayaśabdaṁ cakāra ha

Sanatkumara said: Having thus praised him, then, O Vyasa, the god Vishnu, with joined palms, having become composed, raised the shout of victory to that great-souled one.

Verse 64 (skanda.8.24.64)

tato gaṇā jayetyūcustato devāstato surāḥ | tataḥ sarvāṇi bhūtāni brahmā śakrastathaiva ca

Then the ganas cried 'Victory!', then the gods, then the celestials; then all beings, Brahma, and likewise Shakra —

Verse 65 (skanda.8.24.65)

tataḥ śaṁkhā~śca bherīṁśca paṭahāḍambarā~stathā | vaṁśā~śca paṇavā~ścaiva kṛkavān goviṣāṇakān

— then they sounded conches, kettledrums, drums and adambaras; flutes, panavas, krikavas, and horns —

Verse 66 (skanda.8.24.66)

ḍiṇḍimān veṇukā~ścaiva mardalā~ścaiva sarvaśaḥ | avādayanta gaṇapā harṣayanto mudā yutāḥ

— dindimas, flutes, and mardala drums of every kind — the lords of ganas played them, delighting all, filled with joy.

Verse 67 (skanda.8.24.67)

sanatkumāra uvāca| nandīśvarasya ya imaṁ stavaṁ devābhinirmitam | paṭheta satataṁ martyaḥ sa gacchet tatsalokatām

Sanatkumara said: Whatever mortal constantly recites this hymn of Nandishvara, composed by the gods, attains to his world.

Verse 68 (skanda.8.24.68)

namo nandīśvarāyeti kṛtvā yaḥ svapnamācaret | tasya kuṣmāṇḍarājebhyo na bhayaṁ vidyate kvacit

Whoever, having said 'Salutation to Nandishvara,' goes to sleep, for him there is no fear whatsoever from the kings of the Kushmandas.

Verse 69 (skanda.8.24.69)

yatrāyaṁ sthāpyate nityaṁ stavaḥ paramapūjitaḥ | na bhayaṁ tatra bhavati grahebhyo vyāsa sarvadā

Wherever this most highly honoured hymn is constantly kept, O Vyasa, there is never any fear from planetary influences.

Verse 70 (skanda.8.24.70)

nandīśvaraṁ ye praṇamanti martyā nityaṁ prasannendriyaśuddhasatvāḥ | te devadevasya sahādriputryā iṣṭā variṣṭhāśca gaṇā bhavanti

Those mortals who constantly bow to Nandishvara, with contented senses and pure being, become the beloved and most excellent ganas of the God of gods, together with the daughter of the mountain.
