Upanishads

The Upanishads are the philosophical crown of the Vedas — Vedanta, literally 'the end of the Vedas.' In these texts, the Rishis move beyond ritual to ask the deepest questions: What is the self? What is Brahman? How does one achieve liberation? The 10 principal Upanishads, commented upon by Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, and Madhvacharya, form the Shruti Prasthana — one of the three pillars of the Prasthana Trayi.
