अनादिमध्यान्तः

The one without beginning, middle, or end, whose existence is not an event in time but the ground of all temporal experience

आदि, मध्य और अन्त के बिना, जिनका अस्तित्व समय में एक घटना नहीं बल्कि सभी कालिक अनुभव का आधार है

अनादिमध्यान्त दत्तात्रेय को आदि, मध्य और अन्त के बिना नाम देता है। भगवद्गीता ब्रह्म का वर्णन करते समय ठीक इसी सूत्र का उपयोग करती है (11.16): 'अनादि-मध्य-अन्त'। दत्तात्रेय त्रिमूर्ति अवतार के रूप में यह ब्रह्म व्यक्तिगत रूप में हैं। तीन कालिक चिह्न (आरम्भ-मध्य-अन्त) तीन त्रिमूर्ति कार्यों (सृजन-पालन-विघटन) के अनुरूप हैं, और दत्तात्रेय एक साथ तीनों का अतिक्रमण करते हैं।
