Keelaka Stotram

Om vishuddha-jnana-dehaya trivedi-divya-chakshushe | Shreyah-prapti-nimittaya namah somardha-dharine ||

ॐ। उस परमात्मा को नमस्कार है जिनका शरीर विशुद्ध ज्ञानमय है, जो तीनों वेदों के दिव्य द्रष्टा हैं, जो श्रेय (परम कल्याण) की प्राप्ति के निमित्त हैं और जो अर्धचन्द्र धारण करते हैं।

Om. Salutations to the one whose body is made of pure knowledge, who has the divine vision of the three Vedas, who is the cause for attaining supreme auspiciousness, and who bears the crescent moon.

Sarvam etad vijaniyat mantranam abhikilakam | So'pi kshemam avapnoti satatam japya-tatparah ||

इस सबको मन्त्रों का 'कीलक' (कील/ताला) जानना चाहिए। जो व्यक्ति सदा इसके जप में तत्पर रहता है, वह भी कल्याण को प्राप्त करता है।

One should know all this as the 'keelaka' (pin) of the mantras. Even that person who is always devoted to the recitation (of this stotram) attains welfare and auspiciousness.

Siddhyanty ucchatanadin vastuni sakalany api | Etena stuvatan devim stotra-matrena siddhyati ||

उच्चाटन आदि सभी कार्य सिद्ध होते हैं। इस स्तोत्र मात्र से देवी की स्तुति करने वालों की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं।

All objects including ucchatana (removal of enemies) and other things are accomplished. By this stotram alone, those who praise the Goddess achieve all their desires.

Na mantro naushadham tatra na kinchid api vidyate | Vina japyena siddhyet sarvam ucchatanAdikam ||

इस जप के बिना न कोई मन्त्र, न औषधि और न ही कोई अन्य साधन है जिससे उच्चाटन आदि सभी कार्य सिद्ध हो सकें।

There is no mantra, no medicine, nor anything else in this world by which all things including ucchatana and others can be accomplished without this recitation.

Samagrani api siddhyanti loka-shankam imam hara | Kritva nimantranam tesham japyam etan mano-ramam ||

सभी कार्य पूर्णतः सिद्ध होते हैं। लोगों के मन में उठने वाली इस शंका को दूर करें। उन्हें आमन्त्रित करके, इस मनोरम जप का अनुष्ठान करना चाहिए।

All things are accomplished completely. Remove this doubt from the minds of people. Having invoked them, this delightful recitation (should be performed).

Sannidhau chaiva pujayam japtva shakrah purandarah | Lebhe punah shriyam rajyam hatva shatrun maha-suran ||

पुरन्दर इन्द्र ने देवी की उपस्थिति में पूजा में इस स्तोत्र का जप करके महान असुर शत्रुओं का वध किया और पुनः अपनी श्री (समृद्धि) और राज्य को प्राप्त किया।

Indra, the destroyer of cities (Purandara), having recited this in worship in the presence (of the Goddess), killed the great demon enemies and regained prosperity and his kingdom.

Vidhis tutam tri-sandhyayam yah pathet satatam narah | Durgapattir na tasyasti chintam shantim cha vindati ||

जो व्यक्ति इस (विधिपूर्वक) तीनों सन्ध्याओं में सदा पाठ करता है, उस पर कोई बड़ी विपत्ति नहीं आती; वह चिन्ता से मुक्त होकर शान्ति को प्राप्त करता है।

The person who always recites this (as prescribed by Brahma) at the three sandhyas (dawn, noon, and dusk) will not face any great calamity; he finds relief from worry and attains peace.

Durge smrita harasi bhitim ashesha-jantoh Svasthais smrita matim ativa shubham dadasi | Daridra-duhkha-bhaya-harini ka tvad anya Sarvopakara-karanaya sada-ardra-chitta ||

हे दुर्गे! स्मरण करने पर आप सभी प्राणियों का भय दूर कर देती हैं। स्वस्थ (सन्तुष्ट) लोगों द्वारा स्मरण करने पर आप अत्यन्त शुभ बुद्धि प्रदान करती हैं। हे दारिद्र्य, दुःख और भय को हरने वाली! सबका उपकार करने के लिए सदा करुणार्द्र चित्त वाली आपके अतिरिक्त और कौन है?

O Durga, when remembered, You remove the fear of all living beings. When remembered by those who are content, You bestow highly auspicious wisdom. O remover of poverty, sorrow, and fear, who else but You has a heart always filled with compassion for doing good to all?

Ebhih stavais cha mam nityam stosyate yah samahitah | Tasyaham sakalam tapam nirdahishyami sambhavam ||

देवी कहती हैं: जो एकाग्रचित्त होकर प्रतिदिन इन स्तुतियों से मेरी स्तुति करेगा, मैं उसके उत्पन्न होने वाले समस्त ताप (पीड़ाओं) को पूर्णतः भस्म कर दूँगी।

The Goddess declares: Whoever praises Me daily with these hymns with concentration, I shall burn away all the suffering that arises for them completely.

Markandeya uvacha | Bhagavatyā yatha purvam devatabhy am jagat-patim | Stutva yuddham upagamya jitas te tena shatravah ||

मार्कण्डेय ने कहा: जैसे पहले देवताओं ने जगत के स्वामी (भगवती) की स्तुति करके युद्ध में जाकर उनकी कृपा से अपने शत्रुओं को पराजित किया था।

Markandeya said: As previously the gods, having praised the Goddess, the Lord of the Universe, and approaching battle, were able to defeat their enemies by that (power of Her grace).

Evam eva yuyam bhaktya devim tam shaktim ashritah | Stuvantah satatam shantim achirena bhavisyatha ||

इसी प्रकार, आप सभी भक्तिपूर्वक उस शक्ति (देवी) की शरण लेकर और सदा उनकी स्तुति करके शीघ्र ही शान्ति को प्राप्त करेंगे।

In the same way, all of you, having taken refuge in that Shakti (the Goddess) with devotion and praising Her always, will soon attain peace.

Ittham devya stuta devah pujam kritva yatha-vidhi | Jagmus te vijayam yuddhe hatva shatrun maha-suran ||

इस प्रकार देवी की स्तुति करके और विधिपूर्वक पूजा करके, देवगण युद्ध में गए और महान असुर शत्रुओं का वध करके विजय प्राप्त की।

Thus, having praised the Goddess and performed worship according to the prescribed method, the gods went to battle and attained victory, having slain the great demon enemies.

Idam rahasyam paramam devinam mantra-kilakam | Pathitavyam vijaniyad bhaktya bhava-vimoксhanam ||

यह परम रहस्य, देवी का मन्त्र-कीलक, भक्तिपूर्वक पढ़ा और जाना जाना चाहिए, क्योंकि यह संसार से मुक्ति का साधन है।

This supreme secret, the mantra-keelaka of the Goddess, should be recited and known with devotion, as it is the means of liberation from worldly existence.

Yasyah prasadan mahatas tu kilakam Vyapohya yo nityam ayam pathet sah | Siddhyanti tasyakhila-karya-siddhih Sampujitayam hi bhaven mahatmanam ||

जिनकी (देवी की) महान कृपा से कीलक को हटाकर जो प्रतिदिन इसका पाठ करता है, उसके सभी कार्य सिद्ध होते हैं। निश्चय ही जब वे भलीभाँति पूजित होती हैं, यह महात्माओं के लिए सत्य होता है।

By whose (the Goddess's) great grace, having removed the keelaka (pin), whoever recites this daily, all their tasks are accomplished. Indeed, when She is properly worshipped, this becomes true for great souls.

Sarva-badha-vinirmukto dhana-dhanya-samanvitah | Manushyo mat-prasadena bhavisyati na samshayah ||

देवी कहती हैं: मेरी कृपा से व्यक्ति सभी बाधाओं से मुक्त होकर धन-धान्य से सम्पन्न हो जाएगा — इसमें कोई सन्देह नहीं है।

The Goddess declares: By My grace, a person will become freed from all obstacles and endowed with wealth and prosperity — there is no doubt about this.

Iti shri-markandeya-purane savarnikamanvantare devi-mahatmye Kilaka-stotram sampurnam ||

इस प्रकार श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराण के सावर्णिक मन्वन्तर में देवीमाहात्म्य का कीलक स्तोत्र सम्पूर्ण हुआ।

Thus ends the Keelaka Stotram in the Devi Mahatmyam, in the Savarnika Manvantara section of the auspicious Markandeya Purana.
