Krishna Aarti - Aarti Kunj Bihari Ki

Āratī kuñjabihārī kī, Śrī giridhara kṛṣṇa murārī kī. Āratī kuñjabihārī kī.

यह आरती है कुंज (वृंदावन के उपवनों) में विहार करने वाले श्री कृष्ण की। वे गोवर्धन पर्वत को उठाने वाले गिरिधर और मुर दैत्य का वध करने वाले मुरारी हैं।

This is the aarti of the beloved Krishna, who plays joyfully in the garden groves of Vrindavan. He is the glorious one who lifted the Govardhan mountain and who destroyed the demon Mura.

Gale meṃ baijantī mālā, bajāve muralī madhura bālā. Śravaṇa meṃ kuṇḍala jhalakālā, Nanda ke ānanda nandalālā. Gagana sama aṅga kānti kālī, Rādhikā camaka rahī ālī. Latana meṃ ṭhāḍhe banamālī, bhramara sī alaka, kastūrī tilaka, candra sī jhalaka, lalita chavi śyāmā pyārī kī. Śrī giridhara kṛṣṇa murārī kī.

His body glows dark like the vast sky, and beside him Radhika shines like a dear companion. He stands amid the flowering vines as Banmali, his curling locks like bees, a musk tilak on his brow, a moonlike glow -- such is the graceful, beloved beauty of Shyama. Kanakamaya mora mukuṭa bilasai, devatā darasana ko tarasaiṃ. Gagana soṃ sumana rāsi barasai, baje muracaṅga, madhura miradaṅga, gvālina saṅga, atula rati gopa kumārī kī. Śrī giridhara kṛṣṇa murārī kī.

उनका सुनहरा मोर मुकुट शोभायमान है, देवता भी उनके दर्शन को तरसते हैं। आकाश से फूलों की वर्षा होती है, मुरचंग और मधुर मृदंग बजते हैं, ग्वालिनों के संग गोप कुमारियों को अतुल आनंद मिलता है।

His golden peacock-feather crown shines gloriously; even the gods long for a glimpse of him. Flowers rain down from the sky as the murchang and sweet mridang sound; amid the cowherd girls, there is incomparable joy among the gopa maidens. Glory to Giridhar Krishna Murari.

Jahāṃ te prakaṭa bhaī gaṅgā, kaluṣa kali hāriṇi śrīgaṅgā. Smarana te hota moha bhaṅgā, basī śiva sīsa, jaṭā ke bīca, harai agha kīca, carana chavi śrībanavārī kī. Śrī giridhara kṛṣṇa murārī kī.

जिनके चरणों से गंगा प्रकट हुईं, कलियुग के पाप हरने वाली श्रीगंगा। उनका स्मरण ही मोह का बंधन तोड़ देता है; वे शिव के जटाओं में बसकर पाप की कीच हरती हैं -- ऐसी है श्रीबनवारी के चरणों की छवि।
