पार्वती आरती
The most widely sung Parvati aarti, "Jai Parvati Mata," honoring Maa Parvati as eternal Goddess, destroyer of the enemy clan, lion-riding consort of Shiva, and mother of Ganesha and Kartikeya, blessing devotees with strength, family harmony, and auspiciousness.
"जय पार्वती माता" -- माँ पार्वती की सर्वाधिक गाई जाने वाली आरती, जो उन्हें सनातन देवी, अरिकुल-नाशिनी, शिव की सिंहवाहिनी अर्धांगिनी और गणेश-कार्तिकेय की माता के रूप में वंदन करती है और भक्तों को शक्ति, गृहस्थ सुख और मंगल प्रदान करती है।
जय पार्वती माता, मैया जय पार्वती माता। ब्रह्म सनातन देवी, शुभ फल की दाता॥
jaya pārvatī mātā, maiyā jaya pārvatī mātā. brahma sanātana devī, śubha phala kī dātā.
जय हो माँ पार्वती की। हे सनातन ब्रह्म-स्वरूपा देवी, आप शुभ फल की दाता हैं।
Hail Mother Parvati! O eternal divine Goddess, giver of auspicious fruit.
अरिकुल पद्म विनाशिनी, जय सेवक त्राता। जग जीवन जगदम्बा, हरिहर गुण गाता॥
arikula padma vināśinī, jaya sevaka trātā. jaga jīvana jagadambā, harihara guṇa gātā.
शत्रु-कुल रूपी कमल का नाश करने वाली, अपने सेवकों की रक्षा करने वाली; जगत की जीवनदायिनी जगदम्बा, जिनके गुण हरि और हर भी गाते हैं।
Destroyer of the enemy clan as frost withers a lotus, protector of your devotees; Mother of the world's life, whose virtues even Hari and Hara sing.
सिंह को वाहन साजे, कुण्डल हैं साथा। देव वधू जस गावत, नृत्य करत ताथा॥
siṃha ko vāhana sāje, kuṇḍala haiṃ sāthā. deva vadhū jasa gāvata, nṛtya karata tāthā.
सिंह वाहन से सुशोभित, कुण्डल धारण किए हुए; देव वधुएँ आपका यश गातीं और थाप पर नृत्य करती हैं।
Adorned with the lion as her vehicle and earrings at her side, celestial women sing her glory and dance to its rhythm.
सतयुग रूप शील अति सुन्दर, नाम सती कहलाता। हेमांचल घर जन्मी, सखियन संग राता॥
satayuga rūpa śīla ati sundara, nāma satī kahalātā. hemāṃcala ghara janmī, sakhiyana saṃga rātā.
सतयुग में अति सुंदर रूप-शील में आप सती नाम से जानी गईं; हिमांचल के घर जन्मीं और सखियों के साथ रत रहीं।
In Satya Yuga your form and character were most beautiful, and you were known by the name Sati; born in the house of the Himalaya, engrossed among your companions.
शुम्भ निशुम्भ विदारे, हेमांचल स्थाता। सहस्र भुजा तनु धरि के, चक्र लियो हाथा॥
śumbha niśumbha vidāre, hemāṃcala sthātā. sahasra bhujā tanu dhari ke, cakra liyo hāthā.
शुम्भ-निशुम्भ को विदीर्ण करने वाली, हेमांचल-वासिनी; सहस्र भुजाओं वाला रूप धारण कर चक्र हाथ में लिया।
You slew the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha, O dweller of the Himalaya; assuming a thousand-armed form, you took up the discus in your hand.
सृष्टि रूप तुही है जननी, शिवसंग रंगराता। नन्दी भृंगी बीन लही, सारा जग मदमाता॥
sṛṣṭi rūpa tuhī hai jananī, śiva saṅga raṅgarātā. nandī bhṛṅgī bīna lahī, sārā jaga madamātā.
सृष्टि का रूप आप ही जननी हैं, शिव के संग रंगरत; नंदी-भृंगी वीणा बजाते हैं और सारा जग मदमाता होता है।
You alone are the mother, the very form of creation, joyfully united with Shiva; as Nandi and Bhringi take up the veena, the whole world becomes intoxicated with bliss.
देवन अरज करत हम, चित को लाता। गावत दे दे ताली, मन में रंगराता॥
devana araja karata hama, cita ko lātā. gāvata de de tālī, mana meṃ raṅgarātā.
देवगण विनती करते हैं, अपना चित्त आप में लगाते हैं; ताली देकर गाते हैं, मन रंगरत होकर।
The gods themselves make their plea, fixing their minds upon you; they sing and clap, their hearts absorbed in joy.
श्री प्रताप आरती मैया की, जो कोई गाता। सदा सुखी नित रहता, सुख सम्पत्ति पाता॥
śrī pratāpa āratī maiyā kī, jo koī gātā. sadā sukhī nita rahatā, sukha sampatti pātā.
जो कोई मैया की यह प्रतापी आरती गाता है, वह सदा सुखी रहता है और सुख-संपत्ति पाता है।
Whoever sings this glorious aarti of the Mother ever remains happy and attains happiness and prosperity.
