सन्तोषदः

The bestower of contentment; the deity who grants santoṣa, the deep and stable satisfaction that does not depend on getting what one wants but arises from recognising that one already has what one needs

सन्तोष का वरदान देने वाले; वह देव जो सन्तोष प्रदान करते हैं, वह गहरी और स्थिर तृप्ति जो इच्छित चीज़ पाने पर नहीं बल्कि यह पहचानने पर उठती है कि जो चाहिए वह पहले से ही है

भारत की उपभोक्तावाद-संचालित महत्वाकांक्षी संस्कृति दीर्घकालीन असन्तोष पैदा करती है; सन्तोषद गणेश दिव्य प्रतिकारक हैं, भक्तों को याद दिलाते हुए कि अधिग्रहण के माध्यम से खोजा गया सन्तोष हमेशा वर्तमान क्षण के भीतर उपलब्ध था।
