oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati, jaya jaya lakṣmīpati, viṣṇu anādi anaṃta, saba ke ho svāmī, brahma śaṃkara nārada, munivara guṇa gāveṃ, śrī padmāvati sahita, śaṃkha cakra dhārī, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

लक्ष्मीपति भगवान विष्णु की जय हो! वे अनादि और अनंत हैं — उनका न आदि है, न अंत। ब्रह्मा, शंकर, नारद और महान मुनि भी उनके गुण गाते हैं, और माँ पद्मावती (लक्ष्मी) सहित वे शंख-चक्र धारण किए विराजते हैं।

Victory to Lakshmipati — the Lord of Lakshmi and preserver of all creation! Vishnu, who is without beginning and without end, is the eternal sovereign of all beings. Brahma, Shiva, Narada, and the greatest sages sing His glories, while the lotus-goddess Padmavati stands by His side as He holds the conch and discus.

kṣīrasāgara meṃ śayana, śeṣanāga kyārī, lakṣmī sevata caraṇa, jagata ke svāmī, nābhi kamala se brahmā, racanā karate nita, viṣṇu sṛṣṭi ke pālaka, bhava bhaya hārī, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

भगवान विष्णु क्षीरसागर में शेषनाग की शय्या पर विराजते हैं और माँ लक्ष्मी उनके चरणों की सेवा करती हैं — वे समस्त जगत के स्वामी हैं। उनकी नाभि से उत्पन्न कमल पर ब्रह्मा जी बैठकर निरंतर सृष्टि की रचना करते हैं। विष्णु सृष्टि के पालनकर्ता हैं और भव-भय को हरने वाले हैं।

Lord Vishnu reclines gracefully upon the cosmic serpent Shesha in the milk ocean, while Goddess Lakshmi lovingly serves at His feet — He is truly the master of all creation. From His navel blooms the lotus upon which Brahma sits, perpetually engaged in the act of creation. Vishnu, the eternal sustainer, removes all fear of worldly existence from His devotees.

matsya kūrma barāhā, narahari rūpa dhārī, vāmana paraśurāma, rāma kṛṣṇa balakārī, buddha kalkī avatārā, dasa rūpa dikhāe, pāpa saṃtāpa miṭāne, bhaktana hitakārī, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

भगवान विष्णु ने मत्स्य, कूर्म, वराह, नरसिंह, वामन, परशुराम, राम, कृष्ण, बुद्ध और कल्कि — ये दस अवतार धारण किए। हर अवतार में उन्होंने एक अलग संकट से जगत की रक्षा की। ये सभी रूप भक्तों के पाप और दुखों को मिटाने के लिए ही लिए गए।

Vishnu took form as the fish, tortoise, boar, and the fierce man-lion Narasimha, then as the dwarf Vamana, the warrior Parashurama, the ideal king Rama, and the divine lover Krishna — each a demonstration of limitless divine power. He then appeared as Buddha and will come again as Kalki, thus manifesting His ten glorious avatars across cosmic time. Through all these forms, He works for the welfare of His devotees, annihilating sin and suffering.

garuḍa caḍha cale viṣṇu, teja sabase bhārī, caturbhuja chavi suṃdara, pītāmbara dhārī, śrīvatsa cihna chātī, kaustubha maṇi nyārī, vaijayaṃtī mālā śobhita, rūpa manahārī, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

भगवान विष्णु गरुड़ पर सवार होकर चलते हैं और उनका तेज सबसे अधिक है। उनका चतुर्भुज रूप पीताम्बर (पीली धोती) पहने अत्यंत सुंदर लगता है। उनके वक्ष पर श्रीवत्स का चिह्न है, गले में कौस्तुभ मणि है और वैजयंती माला से सुशोभित उनका रूप मन को मोह लेता है।

Lord Vishnu rides upon the mighty eagle Garuda, His radiance surpassing all — His four-armed form is supremely beautiful, dressed in gleaming yellow silks. On His chest shines the Shrivatsa mark, and the rare Kaustubha gem glows at His throat, while the Vaijayanti garland adorns His form, making Him utterly captivating to behold.

bhakta prahlāda ubāre, hiraṇyakaśyapa māre, gaja grāha yuddha madhya, bhakta ko nihāre, draupadī lāja bacāī, sāḍī baḍhāī, śaraṇa gae jo bhī, duḥkha dūra kie sāre, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

भगवान विष्णु ने बालक प्रह्लाद को बचाया और हिरण्यकश्यप का वध किया। गज-ग्राह के युद्ध में जब हाथी गजेंद्र ने उन्हें पुकारा, तो वे तुरंत दौड़े आए। दुर्योधन की सभा में द्रौपदी की लाज बचाने के लिए उन्होंने चीर बढ़ाई। जो भी उनकी शरण में गया, उसका समस्त दुख दूर हो गया।

Vishnu saved His steadfast devotee Prahlada and slew the demon Hiranyakashipu who tormented him; He watched over Gajendra in the midst of his desperate battle with the crocodile and rushed to save him. He protected Draupadi's honor when she was being humiliated in the royal court, miraculously extending her saree. All who take refuge in Him find their suffering completely removed.

viṣṇu āratī jo koī, nita nema se gāe, śrī lakṣmī jī prasanna, dhana dhānya pāe, pāpa tāpa saba nāśe, maṃgala ho jāe, jo jana bhāva se gāe, vaikuṃṭha meṃ jāe, oṃ jaya lakṣmīpati.

जो व्यक्ति इस विष्णु आरती को नित्य नियम से गाता है, उस पर श्री लक्ष्मी जी की कृपा होती है और उसे धन-धान्य की प्राप्ति होती है। उसके सभी पाप और कष्ट नष्ट हो जाते हैं और जीवन में मंगल ही मंगल होता है। जो सच्चे भाव से यह आरती गाता है, वह अंततः वैकुंठ को प्राप्त होता है।

Whoever sings this aarti of Lord Vishnu with daily discipline and devotion will find Goddess Lakshmi pleased, and will be blessed with wealth and abundance. All accumulated sins and sufferings are destroyed, and complete auspiciousness fills that person's life. One who sings with true inner feeling and sincere bhava ultimately attains Vaikuntha — the eternal, blissful abode of Lord Vishnu.
