gītānāṁ dvādaśādhyāyaṁ japāmyahamataṁdritaḥ tena śaktiriyaṁ rājanyayā prāptosi jīvitam
'I recite, tirelessly, the twelfth chapter of the Gita; by that alone, O king, comes this power by which you have received life again.'
Verse 61 (padma.6.186.61)
etadākarṇya rājā'sau dvādaśādhyāyamuttamam papāṭha tasmādviprarṣeḥ sakāśātbrāhmaṇānvitam
Hearing this, that king, together with the brahmins, learned that excellent twelfth chapter from that sage-brahmin.
Verse 62 (padma.6.186.62)
tasyādhyāyasya māhatmyātte sarve sadgatiṁ yayuḥ anye paṭhitvā jīvāśca muktimāpuraho parām
By the glory of that chapter, all of them attained the good destiny; and others too, having recited it in their lifetime, oh! attained the supreme liberation.
