The Glory of Trinabindvishvara

Verse 1 (skanda.7.138.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। तस्यैव पश्चिमे भागे धनुषां पञ्चके स्थितम्। तृणबिन्द्वीश्वरं नाम तीव्रभक्त्या प्रतिष्ठितम्

īśvara uvāca| tasyaiva paścime bhāge dhanuṣāṁ pañcake sthitam| tṛṇabindvīśvaraṁ nāma tīvrabhaktyā pratiṣṭhitam

Ishvara said: In the western portion of that very place, at a distance of five bow-lengths, stands the linga named Trinabindvishvara, established through intense devotion.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.138.2)

कृत्वा महत्तपो देवि तृणबिन्दुर्मुनीश्वरः। मासि मासि कुशाग्रेण जलबिन्दुं निपीय वै

kṛtvā mahattapo devi tṛṇabindurmunīśvaraḥ| māsi māsi kuśāgreṇa jalabinduṁ nipīya vai

O Devi, the sage-lord Trinabindu, performing great austerity, month after month sipping but a single drop of water from the tip of a blade of kusha grass,

Verse 3 (skanda.7.138.3)

संवत्सराण्यनेकानि एवमाराध्य चेश्वरम्। संप्राप्तं परमां सिद्धिं क्षेत्रे प्राभासिके शुभे

saṁvatsarāṇyanekāni evamārādhya ceśvaram| saṁprāptaṁ paramāṁ siddhiṁ kṣetre prābhāsike śubhe

and thus worshipping Ishvara for many years, attained the supreme accomplishment in that auspicious field of Prabhasa.
