The Glory of Gandharveshvara

Verse 1 (skanda.7.302.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि गंधर्वेश्वरमुत्तमम्। तस्यैवोत्तरदिग्भागे धनुषां पंचके स्थितम्

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi gaṁdharveśvaramuttamam| tasyaivottaradigbhāge dhanuṣāṁ paṁcake sthitam

Ishvara said: Then go, O great Goddess, to the excellent Gandharveshvara, situated in the northern part of that place, at a distance of five bow-lengths.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.302.2)

तं दृष्ट्वा च महादेवि रूपवाञ्जायते नरः। गंधर्वैः स्थापितं लिंगं स्नात्वा संपूजयेत्सकृत्। सर्वान्कामानवाप्नोति रक्तकण्ठश्च जायते

taṁ dṛṣṭvā ca mahādevi rūpavāñjāyate naraḥ| gaṁdharvaiḥ sthāpitaṁ liṁgaṁ snātvā saṁpūjayetsakṛt| sarvānkāmānavāpnoti raktakaṇṭhaśca jāyate

O great Goddess, by seeing him a man becomes endowed with beauty; whoever bathes and worships even once the linga established by the Gandharvas obtains all desires and becomes sweet of voice.
