The Glory of the Goddess Marudarya

Verse 1 (skanda.7.315.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि मरुदार्यां महाप्रभाम्। तस्मात्पश्चिमदिग्भागे क्रोशार्द्धेन व्यवस्थिताम्

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi marudāryāṁ mahāprabhām| tasmātpaścimadigbhāge krośārddhena vyavasthitām

Ishvara said: Then, O great Goddess, one should go to Marudarya, of great splendor, situated half a krosha to the west from there.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.315.2)

मरुद्भिः पूजितां देवीं सर्वकामफलप्रदाम्। महानवम्यां यत्नेन सप्तम्यां पूजयेन्नरः। गंधपुष्पादिविधिना सर्वकामप्रसिद्धये

marudbhiḥ pūjitāṁ devīṁ sarvakāmaphalapradām| mahānavamyāṁ yatnena saptamyāṁ pūjayennaraḥ| gaṁdhapuṣpādividhinā sarvakāmaprasiddhaye

That Goddess, worshipped by the Maruts, bestows the fruit of all desires. A man should worship her with effort on Mahanavami and on the seventh lunar day, with the rite of scent, flowers, and the like, for the fulfillment of all desires.
