The Glory of Unnata-svami (the Exalted Lord)

Verse 1 (skanda.7.325.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि विनायकमनुत्तमम्। ऋषितोयातटे रम्ये सर्वविघ्ननिवारणम्

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi vināyakamanuttamam| ṛṣitoyātaṭe ramye sarvavighnanivāraṇam

Ishvara said: Then, O great Goddess, one should go to the most excellent Vinayaka, remover of all obstacles, situated on the beautiful bank of the Rishitoya.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.325.2)

योऽसौ देवगणाध्यक्षः साक्षाच्च त्रिपुरान्तकः। गजरूपं समाश्रित्य ह्युन्नते जगति स्थितः। प्राभासिके महाक्षेत्रे गणानां कोटिभिर्वृतः

yo'sau devagaṇādhyakṣaḥ sākṣācca tripurāntakaḥ| gajarūpaṁ samāśritya hyunnate jagati sthitaḥ| prābhāsike mahākṣetre gaṇānāṁ koṭibhirvṛtaḥ

He who is the lord of the ganas, and who is verily the Destroyer of Tripura himself — having assumed elephant form, he stands exalted in this world, in the great field of Prabhasa, surrounded by crores of ganas.

Verse 3 (skanda.7.325.3)

तस्मात्सर्वप्रयत्नेन यात्रा निर्विघ्नहेतवे। आराध्यो गणनाथश्च पुष्पधूपादिभिः सदा

tasmātsarvaprayatnena yātrā nirvighnahetave| ārādhyo gaṇanāthaśca puṣpadhūpādibhiḥ sadā

Therefore, with every effort, so that the pilgrimage be free of obstacles, Gananatha should always be worshipped with flowers, incense and the like.

Verse 4 (skanda.7.325.4)

चतुर्थ्यां च चतुर्थ्यां च सर्वैर्नगरवासिभिः। तस्मिन्महोत्सवः कार्यो राष्ट्रक्षेमार्थ सिद्धये

caturthyāṁ ca caturthyāṁ ca sarvairnagaravāsibhiḥ| tasminmahotsavaḥ kāryo rāṣṭrakṣemārtha siddhaye

On every fourth lunar day, all the city's inhabitants should hold a great festival there, for the welfare and success of the realm.
