The Glory of Durgakuta Ganapati

Verse 1 (skanda.7.349.1)

ईश्वर उवाच। ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि विश्वेशं दुर्गकूटकम्। भल्लतीर्थस्य पूर्वेण योगिनीचक्रदक्षिणे

īśvara uvāca| tato gacchenmahādevi viśveśaṁ durgakūṭakam| bhallatīrthasya pūrveṇa yoginīcakradakṣiṇe

Ishvara said: O Great Goddess, one should then go to Vishvesha Durgakuta, to the east of Bhallatirtha, south of the circle of Yoginis.

Verse 2 (skanda.7.349.2)

आराधितोऽसौ भीमेन सर्वकामप्रदोऽभवत्। फाल्गुनस्य चतुर्थ्यां तु शुक्लपक्षे विधानतः

ārādhito'sau bhīmena sarvakāmaprado'bhavat| phālgunasya caturthyāṁ tu śuklapakṣe vidhānataḥ

Worshipped by Bhima according to rule, on the fourth day of the bright fortnight of Phalguna, he became the granter of all desires.

Verse 3 (skanda.7.349.3)

यस्तं पूजयते देवं गन्धपुष्पैः समोदकैः। निर्विघ्नं जायते तस्य वर्षमेकं न संशयः

yastaṁ pūjayate devaṁ gandhapuṣpaiḥ samodakaiḥ| nirvighnaṁ jāyate tasya varṣamekaṁ na saṁśayaḥ

Whoever worships that god with scent, flowers, and modakas — for him, without doubt, an entire year passes free of obstacles.
