Bajrang Baan

Niścaya prema pratīti te, binaya kareṃ sanamāna. Tehi ke kāraja sakala śubha, siddha kareṃ Hanumāna.

जो व्यक्ति निश्चय, प्रेम और श्रद्धापूर्वक विनम्रता से हनुमान जी की प्रार्थना करता है, हनुमान जी उसके सभी शुभ कार्य सिद्ध करते हैं। भक्ति और विश्वास ही हनुमान जी की कृपा पाने की कुंजी है।

One who prays to Hanuman with certain faith, love, and respectful humility — Hanuman fulfills all their auspicious tasks. Devotion and trust are the keys that unlock Hanuman's grace.

Jaya Hanumanta santa hitakārī. Suni lījai prabhu araja hamārī. Jana ke kāja bilaṃba na kījai. Ātura dauri mahā sukha dījai.

संतों के हितकारी हनुमान जी की जय हो! हे प्रभु, हमारी विनती सुनिए। अपने भक्तों के कार्य में विलम्ब न कीजिए — शीघ्रता से दौड़कर आइए और महान सुख प्रदान कीजिए।

Glory to Hanuman, the benefactor of saints! O Lord, please hear our humble prayer. Do not delay in the work of your devotees — rush to them urgently and grant them great happiness.

Jaise kūdi sindhu mahipārā. Surasā badana paiṭhi bistārā. Āge jāya Laṅkinī rokā. Mārehu lāta gaī sura lokā.

जैसे आपने विशाल समुद्र को लांघा, सुरसा के मुख में प्रवेश कर चतुराई दिखाई, और जब लंकिनी ने आगे रोका तो एक लात मारकर उसे स्वर्गलोक पहुँचा दिया।

Just as you leaped across the great ocean, cleverly entered and expanded within Surasa's mouth, and when Lankini blocked your way ahead, you kicked her so hard she flew to the heavens.

Jāya Bibhīṣana ko sukha dīnā. Sītā nirakhi parama pada cīnā. Bāga ujāri sindhu mahaṃ borā. Ati ātura jama kātara torā.

आपने जाकर विभीषण को सुख दिया, सीता जी के दर्शन किए और परम पद को पहचाना। अशोक वाटिका को उजाड़ा और राक्षसों को समुद्र में डुबोया। यमराज भी आपसे भयभीत रहते हैं।

You went and gave comfort to Vibhishana, beheld Sita and recognized the supreme truth. You destroyed the Ashoka garden and drowned demons in the ocean. Even Yama, the lord of death, trembles in fear of you.

Akṣaya kumāra māri saṃhārā. Lūma lapeṭi Laṅka ko jārā. Lāha samāna Laṅka jari gaī. Jaya jaya dhuni surapura nabha bhaī.

आपने अक्षय कुमार (रावण के पुत्र) को मारकर नष्ट किया, पूँछ में आग लपेटकर लंका को जलाया। लंका लाख की तरह जल गई और 'जय जय' की ध्वनि देवलोक और आकाश में गूँज उठी।

You killed and destroyed Akshay Kumar (Ravana's son), wrapped your tail with fire and burned Lanka. Lanka burned like wax, and the victorious sound of 'Jai Jai' echoed through the heavens and the city of gods.

Aba bilaṃba kehi kārana svāmī. Kṛpā karahu ura antarayāmī. Jaya jaya Lakhana prāna ke dātā. Ātura hvai dukha karahu nipātā.

हे स्वामी, अब किस कारण विलम्ब कर रहे हैं? हे अंतर्यामी, कृपा कीजिए! लक्ष्मण के प्राणदाता आपकी जय हो — शीघ्रता से आकर सभी दुखों का नाश कीजिए।

Why do you delay now, O Lord? Have mercy, O knower of all hearts! Glory to you, the savior of Lakshmana's life — rush urgently and destroy all suffering.

Jaya Hanumāna jayati bala sāgara. Sura samūha samaratha bhaṭa nāgara. Oṃ hanu hanu hanu Hanumanta haṭhīle. Bairihi māru bajra kī kīle.

बल के सागर हनुमान जी की जय हो, देवताओं में सबसे समर्थ और कुशल योद्धा! ॐ — हे हठी हनुमान, शत्रुओं पर वज्र की कीलों से प्रहार कीजिए!

Glory to Hanuman, the ocean of strength, powerful warrior celebrated among all the gods! Om — O determined Hanuman, strike the enemies with nails of thunderbolt!

Oṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ Hanumanta kapīsā. Oṃ huṃ huṃ huṃ hanu ari ura śīsā. Jaya Anjanī kumāra balavantā. Śaṅkara suvana vīra Hanumantā.

ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं, हे वानरराज हनुमान! ॐ हुं हुं हुं, शत्रुओं के सिर और छाती पर प्रहार करो! अंजनी के बलवान पुत्र, शंकर के सुपुत्र, वीर हनुमान की जय हो!

Om Hreem Hreem Hreem, O Hanuman, lord of monkeys! Om Hum Hum Hum, strike the chest and head of enemies! Glory to the mighty son of Anjani, the brave Hanuman, son of Lord Shiva!

Badana karāla kāla kula ghālaka. Rāma sahāya sadā pratipālaka. Bhūta preta piśāca niśācara. Agni betāla kāla mārī mara.

भयंकर मुख वाले, काल के कुल को नष्ट करने वाले, राम के सहायक और सदा रक्षा करने वाले! भूत, प्रेत, पिशाच, निशाचर, अग्नि, बेताल और महामारी — सब आपके सामने नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

With a terrifying face, you are the destroyer of death's lineage, the eternal helper and protector of Lord Rama. Ghosts, spirits, demons, night-wanderers, fire-spirits, ghouls, and deadly epidemics — all are destroyed before you.

Inheṃ māru tohi śapatha Rāma kī. Rākhu nātha marajāda nāma kī. Janaka sutā Hari dāsa kahāvo. Tākī śapatha bilaṃba na lāvo.

इन दुष्ट शक्तियों को नष्ट कीजिए — मैं राम की शपथ दिलाता हूँ! हे नाथ, अपने नाम की मर्यादा रखिए। आप हरि और जानकी के दास कहलाते हैं — उसी शपथ से विलम्ब न कीजिए!

Destroy these evil forces — I invoke the oath of Lord Rama! O Lord, protect the honor of your divine name. You are called the servant of Hari and of Sita — by that sacred oath, do not delay!

Jaya jaya jaya Hanumanta agādhā. Dukha pāvata jana kehi aparādhā. Pūjā japa tapa nema acārā. Nahiṃ jānata kachu dāsa tumhārā.

अगाध हनुमान जी की जय जय जय हो! आपका भक्त किस अपराध से दुख पा रहा है? आपका दास पूजा, जप, तप, नियम और आचार कुछ भी नहीं जानता।

Glory, glory, glory to limitless Hanuman! For what sin does your devotee suffer so? Your servant knows nothing of proper worship, chanting, austerity, or disciplined practices.

Bana upabana maga giri gṛha māhīṃ. Tumhare bala hama ḍarapata nāhīṃ. Pām̐ya parauṃ kara jori manāvom̐. Yahi avasara aba kehi goharāvom̐.

वन, उपवन, मार्ग, पर्वत या घर में — आपके बल से हम कहीं नहीं डरते। मैं आपके पैरों पड़ता हूँ, हाथ जोड़कर मनाता हूँ — इस समय और किसे पुकारूँ?

In forests, gardens, on paths, mountains, or within our homes — by your strength we fear nothing. I fall at your feet with folded hands and plead — in this hour of need, whom else shall I call upon?

Jaya Anjanī kumāra balavānā. Jaya jaya jaya Hanumanta purānā. Jaya jaya jaya sukhadāya bisālā. Bighana harana maṅgala pratipālā.

बलवान अंजनीपुत्र की जय हो! सनातन हनुमान जी की जय जय जय! विशाल सुखदाता, विघ्नहर्ता और मंगल के रक्षक की जय जय जय हो!

Glory to mighty Anjani's son! Glory, glory, glory to the eternal Hanuman! Glory to the immense giver of happiness, remover of all obstacles, and protector of auspiciousness!

Oṃ hanu hanu hanu Hanumanta balavānā. Oṃ haṃ haṃ haṃ Hanumanta mahānā. Oṃ hiṃ hiṃ hiṃ Hanumanta kulīsā. Oṃ huṃ huṃ huṃ hanu ari bala jītā.

ॐ — मारो, मारो, मारो, हे बलवान हनुमान! ॐ — हे महान हनुमान! ॐ — हे वज्र समान हनुमान! ॐ — शत्रुओं के बल को जीतो!

Om — strike, strike, strike, O mighty Hanuman! Om — O great Hanuman! Om — O thunderbolt-like Hanuman! Om — conquer the strength of all enemies!

Cāroṃ ora lagāo bara kī. Phire na badana ūpara nara nārī kī. Hanumāna gadā bajra kī korā. Māro māro mahā diggaja torā.

चारों दिशाओं में अपना दिव्य सुरक्षा कवच लगाइए। कोई भी दुष्ट नर या नारी हमारी ओर मुँह न कर सके। हे हनुमान, अपनी वज्र-धार गदा से महान शत्रुओं पर प्रहार कीजिए!

Establish your divine protection in all four directions. Let no evil face of man or woman turn towards us. O Hanuman, with the thunderbolt-edge of your mace, strike and destroy the mightiest of foes!

Oṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ duṣṭa daitya bhagāvo. Mahā vikaṭa samūha saṃhāro. Oṃ śrīṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ Hanumanta kapīsā. Uṭho uṭho choḍo na hamārā bisavāsā.

ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं — दुष्ट दैत्यों को भगाइए! भयंकर शत्रुओं के समूह को नष्ट कीजिए! ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं, हे वानरराज हनुमान — उठिए, उठिए! हमारे विश्वास को मत छोड़िए!

Om Hreem Hreem Hreem — chase away the wicked demons! Destroy the entire horde of terrible foes! Om Shreem Hreem Hreem, O Hanuman, lord of monkeys — arise, arise! Do not abandon our faith and trust!

Oṃ caṃ caṃ caṃ caṃ capala calantā. Oṃ hanu hanu hanu Hanumantā. Jaya jaya jaya karuṇā niketā. Hamako rakha lo tumhare cetā.

ॐ चं चं चं — हे शीघ्रगामी हनुमान! ॐ — मारो, मारो, हनुमान! करुणा के निवास की जय जय जय! हमें अपनी चेतना में सुरक्षित रख लीजिए!

Om Cham Cham Cham — O swiftly moving Hanuman! Om — strike, strike, Hanuman! Glory, glory, glory to the abode of compassion! Keep us safe in your awareness and consciousness!

Jaya jaya jaya dhuni chāī akāsā. Sumirata hoya dusaha dukha nāsā. Carana pakari kara jori manāvom̐. Yahi avasara aba kehi goharāvom̐.

'जय जय जय' की ध्वनि आकाश में छा गई! आपको स्मरण करने मात्र से असह्य दुख नष्ट हो जाता है। मैं आपके चरण पकड़कर हाथ जोड़कर विनती करता हूँ — इस संकट में और किसे पुकारूँ?

The sound of 'Jai Jai Jai' fills the sky! By merely remembering you, unbearable suffering is destroyed. I grasp your feet with folded hands and plead — in this moment of crisis, whom else shall I call?

Uṭhu uṭhu calu tohi Rāma duhāī. Painj leta kāhe bilambaī. Mohi ubāru aba derī na karū. Uṭhi kāraja hamaro turata saṃvārū.

उठो, उठो और चलो — मैं आपको राम की दुहाई देता हूँ! अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पूरी करने में क्यों विलम्ब कर रहे हैं? अब मुझे बचाइए, देर न कीजिए! उठकर मेरा काम तुरंत सँवारिए!

Arise, arise, and move — I give you the solemn oath of Lord Rama! Why do you delay in fulfilling your promise? Save me now, do not delay! Rise and fix my problems immediately!

Lāla deha lālī lase. Aru dhari lāla laṅgūra. Bajra deha dānava dalana. Jaya jaya jaya kapi sūra.

आपका लाल शरीर लालिमा से शोभित है और आप लाल लंगूर धारण किए हुए हैं। वज्र जैसे शरीर से दानवों का दलन करने वाले, वानर वीर की जय जय जय हो!

Your red body shines with radiant glow, and you bear a magnificent red tail. With a body hard as thunderbolt, you are the crusher of demons — glory, glory, glory to the heroic monkey warrior!

Oṃ pavana tanaya saṅkaṭa harana. Maṅgala mūrati rūpa. Rāma Lakhana Sītā sahita. Hṛdaya basahu sura bhūpa.

ॐ — हे पवनपुत्र, संकटहरण, मंगल मूर्ति स्वरूप! श्री राम, लक्ष्मण और सीता सहित, हे देवराज, मेरे हृदय में सदा निवास कीजिए!

Om — O son of the Wind, remover of all troubles, embodiment of auspiciousness! Along with Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, please dwell forever in my heart, O king among gods!

Jaya jaya jaya kapi rāja udārā. Bipati nikaṭa dhāvahu matavārā. Hanumāna aṭala ghāta māro. Mahārāja purajana saṅkaṭa ṭāro.

उदार वानरराज की जय जय जय! विपत्ति के निकट मतवाले होकर दौड़ो! हे हनुमान, अटल प्रहार करो! हे महाराज, अपने लोगों के संकट दूर कीजिए!

Glory to the generous king of monkeys! Rush towards calamity with passionate fervor! O Hanuman, strike unstoppable blows! O great king, remove the troubles of all your people!

Oṃ Hanumanta Hanumanta Hanumantā. Bhūta preta saba raheṃ uḍantā. Dhūma deta Laṅkā jārī. Bhīma rūpa dhari jana hitakārī.

ॐ हनुमंत, हनुमंत, हनुमंत! सभी भूत-प्रेत उड़कर भाग जाते हैं! आपने भयंकर रूप धारण कर लंका में आग लगाई — फिर भी आप सदा भक्तों के हितकारी हैं!

Om Hanumant, Hanumant, Hanumant! All ghosts and spirits flee far away! You set Lanka ablaze with smoke and fire, assuming a terrifying form — yet you are always the benefactor of your devotees!

Āna hamārī tumharī śapatha. Yaha Bajraṅga Bāṇa jehi paṭha. Saba ko dūra karahu mukha jvālā. Kari tarakkī duśmana ke hālā.

हमारी और आपकी शपथ की आन पर — जो यह बजरंग बाण पढ़े, उसके शत्रुओं को मुख की ज्वाला से दूर रखिए, शत्रुओं की हालत बिगाड़िए और हमारी तरक्की कराइए!

By our mutual oath and honor — whoever recites this Bajrang Baan, keep all enemies far away with the flames from your mouth, and worsen the condition of our adversaries while we progress!

Oṃ kaṃ khaṃ gaṃ ghaṃ āvaraṇa karo. Chaṃ jaṃ jhaṃ amuka ko māro. Ṭaṃ ṭhaṃ ḍaṃ ḍhaṃ tāḍana karo. Paṃ phaṃ bajra kī tāḍanā māro.

ॐ — पवित्र वर्णमाला के अक्षरों से दिव्य कवच रचो! विशिष्ट शत्रु पर प्रहार करो! ताड़न करो! वज्र की ताड़ना से मारो!

Om — with the sacred consonants, create a divine shield! Strike the specific enemy! Beat and punish them! Strike them with the thunderbolt's punishment!

Oṃ namo Bhagavāna Hanumantā. Raudra rūpa dharū santa hitantā. Satya hohu Mahāvīra svāmī. Pārahu mohi śaraṇa ke kāmī.

ॐ, भगवान हनुमान को नमन! हे संत हितकारी, अपना रौद्र रूप धारण कीजिए! हे महावीर स्वामी, अपने वचन सत्य कीजिए! मुझे पार लगाइए — मैं आपकी शरण का याचक हूँ!

Om, I bow to Lord Hanuman! Assume your fierce form, O benefactor of saints! Be true to your word, O great hero! Deliver me — I am a seeker of your refuge!

Jaya jaya jaya uṭhu Anjanī tanayā. Badana karāli kāla kula ganiyā. Kesa lāla lāla mukha jvālā. Garaja garaja māro ari hālā.

जय जय जय — उठिए, हे अंजनी पुत्र! भयंकर मुख वाले, आप काल के कुल में गिने जाते हैं! लाल केश और मुख से ज्वाला निकालते हुए, गरज गरजकर शत्रुओं की हालत बिगाड़ दीजिए!

Glory, glory, glory — arise, O son of Anjani! With fierce face, you are reckoned as death itself to evil lineages! With red hair and flames from your mouth, roar and roar and destroy the condition of enemies!

Duṣṭa roga saba haro bhagāvo. Cakra calāya bāṇa calāvo. Satagurū śapatha nāma Hanumantā. Svāhā svāhā kahu mantra anantā.

सभी दुष्ट रोगों को हरो और भगाओ! चक्र चलाओ और बाण छोड़ो! सतगुरू की शपथ और हनुमान के नाम से — स्वाहा, स्वाहा — इस अनंत मंत्र का उच्चारण करो!

Remove and chase away all wicked diseases! Hurl your divine disc and shoot your arrows! By the oath of the true Guru and the name of Hanuman — Swaha, Swaha — chant this infinite mantra!

Bajraṅga Bāṇa jehi māre. Tāhi kaho phiri kauna ubāre. Bajraṅga Bāṇa ke paṭhana soṃ. Śravaṇa manana sukha laheṃ sadā soṃ.

बजरंग बाण जिसे मारे — बताओ, फिर उसे कौन बचा सकता है? बजरंग बाण के पठन, श्रवण और मनन से सदा सुख प्राप्त होता है।

Whomever the Bajrang Baan strikes — tell me, who can save them? Through the recitation, listening, and contemplation of Bajrang Baan, one attains eternal happiness.

Iti śrī Bajraṅga Bāṇa. Yaha Bajraṅga Bāṇa jehi jape, Hanumata rākheṃ māna. Tulasīdāsa sadā hī bhaje, Hanumāna kī śāna.

इस प्रकार श्री बजरंग बाण समाप्त हुआ। जो इस बजरंग बाण का जप करता है, हनुमान जी उसका मान रखते हैं। तुलसीदास सदा हनुमान जी की शान का भजन करते हैं।

Thus ends the sacred Bajrang Baan. Whoever chants this Bajrang Baan, Hanuman protects their honor and dignity. Tulsidas forever worships and celebrates the glory of Hanuman.
