अविकल्पः

The one without alternatives, the undivided consciousness in which no possibility of being otherwise has ever arisen

बिना विकल्पों के, वह अखण्डित चेतना जिसमें अन्यथा होने की कोई सम्भावना कभी नहीं उठी

अविकल्प दत्तात्रेय को विकल्प (विकल्पों, द्विभाजनों) के बिना नाम देता है। कश्मीर शैव दर्शन में, 'निर्विकल्प समाधि' और 'सविकल्प समाधि' दो स्तरों को अलग करती है। दत्तात्रेya अविकल्प के रूप में निर्विकल्प से भी परे जाते हैं: वह वह चेतना हैं जिसमें कोई विकल्प (द्विभाजन) कभी नहीं उठा।
