महाकाली स्तोत्रम्
Mahakali Stotram -- a hymn to Goddess Mahakali, the fierce dispeller of darkness, negativity, and fear, drawing on the opening invocation to the Devi and on Brahma's ancient hymn to Mahamaya/Mahakali from Chapter 1 of the Devi Mahatmyam (Markandeya Purana). Recited for protection, courage, and the destruction of evil forces.
महाकाली स्तोत्र -- अंधकार, नकारात्मकता और भय की नाशिनी माँ महाकाली की स्तुति, जो देवी के प्रारंभिक आह्वान तथा देवी माहात्म्य (मार्कण्डेय पुराण) के प्रथम अध्याय में ब्रह्मा द्वारा महामाया/महाकाली को की गई प्राचीन स्तुति पर आधारित है। रक्षा, साहस और अशुभ शक्तियों के नाश के लिए पढ़ी जाती है।
जयन्ती मङ्गला काली भद्रकाली कपालिनी। दुर्गा क्षमा शिवा धात्री स्वाहा स्वधा नमोऽस्तु ते॥१॥
jayantī maṅgalā kālī bhadrakālī kapālinī | durgā kṣamā śivā dhātrī svāhā svadhā namo'stu te ||1||
जयन्ती, मंगला, काली, भद्रकाली, कपालिनी, दुर्गा, क्षमा, शिवा, धात्री, स्वाहा और स्वधा रूप देवी को नमस्कार।
Salutations to the Goddess as Jayanti, Mangala, Kali, Bhadrakali, Kapalini, Durga, Kshama, Shiva, Dhatri, Svaha and Svadha.
काली काली महाकाली कालिके परमेश्वरि। सर्वानन्दकरी देवि नारायणि नमोऽस्तु ते॥२॥
kālī kālī mahākālī kālike parameśvari | sarvānandakarī devi nārāyaṇi namo'stu te ||2||
हे काली, महाकाली, कालिके, परमेश्वरी, सर्वानंदकरी नारायणी देवी, आपको नमस्कार।
O Kali, Mahakali, Kalika, supreme Goddess, giver of all bliss, Narayani, salutations to you.
विश्वेश्वरीं जगद्धात्रीं स्थितिसंहारकारिणीम्। निद्रां भगवतीं विष्णोरतुलां तेजसः प्रभुः॥३॥
viśveśvarīṃ jagaddhātrīṃ sthitisaṃhārakāriṇīm | nidrāṃ bhagavatīṃ viṣṇoratulāṃ tejasaḥ prabhuḥ ||3||
अतुल तेज वाले प्रभु ब्रह्मा ने विश्वेश्वरी, जगद्धात्री, स्थिति और संहार करने वाली, विष्णु की अतुल भगवती निद्रा की स्तुति की।
The Lord Brahma, of measureless splendor, praised her as the ruler of the universe, sustainer of the world, cause of both its preservation and dissolution, the incomparable blessed goddess of Vishnu's cosmic sleep.
त्वं स्वाहा त्वं स्वधा त्वं हि वषट्कारः स्वरात्मिका। सुधा त्वमक्षरे नित्ये त्रिधा मात्रात्मिका स्थिता॥४॥
tvaṃ svāhā tvaṃ svadhā tvaṃ hi vaṣaṭkāraḥ svarātmikā | sudhā tvamakṣare nitye tridhā mātrātmikā sthitā ||4||
आप स्वाहा हैं, आप स्वधा हैं, आप ही वषट्कार हैं, स्वररूपिणी; आप अक्षर में नित्य स्थित त्रिधा मात्रात्मिका सुधा हैं।
You are Svaha, you are Svadha, you are indeed the sacred Vashatkara, the very embodiment of ritual sound; you are the nectar of immortality, dwelling eternally within the imperishable syllable, present in its three measures.
महाविद्या महामाया महामेधा महास्मृतिः। महामोहा च भवती महादेवी महासुरी॥५॥
mahāvidyā mahāmāyā mahāmedhā mahāsmṛtiḥ | mahāmohā ca bhavatī mahādevī mahāsurī ||5||
आप महाविद्या, महामाया, महामेधा, महास्मृति हैं; आप ही महामोहा, महादेवी और महाशक्तिशालिनी हैं।
You are Mahavidya, great wisdom; Mahamaya, great illusive power; Mahamedha, great intellect; Mahasmriti, great memory. You are also Mahamoha, great delusion, O great Goddess of immense power.
प्रकृतिस्त्वं च सर्वस्य गुणत्रयविभाविनी। कालरात्रिर्महारात्रिर्मोहरात्रिश्च दारुणा॥६॥
prakṛtistvaṃ ca sarvasya guṇatrayavibhāvinī | kālarātrirmahārātrirmoharātriśca dāruṇā ||6||
आप ही सबकी प्रकृति हैं, त्रिगुणों की स्रोतरूपिणी; आप कालरात्रि, महारात्रि और दारुण मोहरात्रि हैं।
You are the Prakriti, primal nature, of all things, the source of the three gunas; you are Kalaratri, the night of time, Maharatri, the great night, and dreadful Moharatri, the night of delusion.
त्वं श्रीस्त्वमीश्वरी त्वं ह्रीस्त्वं बुद्धिर्बोधलक्षणा। लज्जा पुष्टिस्तथा तुष्टिस्त्वं शान्तिः क्षान्तिरेव च॥७॥
tvaṃ śrīstvamīśvarī tvaṃ hrīstvaṃ buddhirbodhalakṣaṇā | lajjā puṣṭistathā tuṣṭistvaṃ śāntiḥ kṣāntireva ca ||7||
आप श्री, ईश्वरी, ह्री और बोधलक्षणा बुद्धि हैं; आप लज्जा, पुष्टि, तुष्टि, शांति और क्षांति भी हैं।
You are Shri, fortune; you are Ishvari, sovereignty; you are Hri, modesty; you are Buddhi, understanding marked by awareness. You are Lajja, the sense of shame that restrains wrongdoing, as well as Pushti, nourishment, Tushti, contentment, Shanti, peace, and Kshanti, forbearance.
खड्गिनी शूलिनी घोरा गदिनी चक्रिणी तथा। शङ्खिनी चापिनी बाणभुशुण्डीपरिघायुधा॥८॥
khaḍginī śūlinī ghorā gadinī cakriṇī tathā | śaṅkhinī cāpinī bāṇabhuśuṇḍīparighāyudhā ||8||
खड्गिनी, शूलिनी, घोरा, गदिनी और चक्रिणी; शङ्खिनी, चापिनी, बाण-भुशुण्डी-परिघ आयुध धारण करने वाली।
Sword-bearer, trident-bearer, terrible one, mace-bearer and discus-bearer too; conch-bearer, bow-bearer, armed with arrows, the bhushundi weapon, and the iron mace.
सौम्या सौम्यतराशेषसौम्येभ्यस्त्वतिसुन्दरी। परापराणां परमा त्वमेव परमेश्वरी॥९॥
saumyā saumyatarāśeṣasaumyebhyastvatisundarī | parāparāṇāṃ paramā tvameva parameśvarī ||9||
सौम्या, समस्त सौम्यों से भी अधिक सौम्य, अति सुंदरी; परा और अपरा दोनों में परमा, आप ही परमेश्वरी हैं।
Gentle, gentler than the gentlest of all gentle things, yet more beautiful than beauty itself; supreme among both the transcendent and the immanent, you alone are the Supreme Goddess.
